Norsk bokmål: Bergen kommunes offisielle flagg.

«Flagget er hvitt med rød rand på tre sider og med byvåpenet midt i duken. Den røde fargen skal være den samme som i det norske flagget. Proporsjoner: Hvit duk, høyde 9 deler, bredde tolv deler. Rød kant på tre sider 1 del. Avstand mellom skjold og øvre og nedre kant er 2 deler.» (Profilmanual for Bergen kommune)

«Byflagget er en hvit duk belagt med byvåpenet på elliptisk skjold, og med rød rand øverst, nederst og ytterst. Flaggets høyde er fastsatt til 9 deler, bredden til 12 deler, den røde randen til 1 del, avstanden mellom våpenskjoldet og øvre og nedre rand begge 2 deler. Skjoldet er 4,5 deler bredt og 5 deler høyt, det har gullramme, og den tre tårnete borgen er i sølv og fjellene i gull på rød bunn. Flagget er tegnet av arkitekt Finn Berner.» (Bergen byleksikon)
English: The official flag of the city of Bergen.

"The flag is white with a red border on three sides and the city arms centred on the cloth. The red colour shall be the same as in the Norwegian flag. Proportions: White cloth, height 9 parts, width 12 parts. Red border on three sides 1 part. Distance between shield and upper and lower edge is 2 parts." (Profile manual of the city of Bergen)

The flag's height is set to 9 parts, the width to 12 parts, the red border to 1 part, the distance between the shield of arms and both the top and bottom edge 2 parts. The shield is 4.5 parts wide and 5 parts tall, it has a gold bordure, and the three‐towered castle is silver and the mountains are gold on a red field. The flag is designed by architect Finn Berner."
